A safe place for vulnerable women to regain dignity, identity and hope

In northern Uganda, violence, abuse and exploitation are unfortunately part of everyday life for many women and girls, whether in physical, emotional or sexual form. Many victims remain silent due to shame, fear of exclusion or retaliation, or a lack of financial means. Moreover, reported cases often go unpunished. As a result, numerous women and girls are left alone with the consequences of their experiences and have little access to protection, support or new perspectives.

The experiences endured often leave deep physical, emotional, and psychological scars. Many women lack a stable social environment or the support they need to process what they have been through and find new hope.

Our aim is to create Houses of Healing in Northern Uganda – places where women and girls who have experienced violence, abuse, or exploitation can find protection, acceptance, and new perspectives. Here, through a holistic programme of inner healing, pastoral care, personal mentoring, and practical support, we are creating an environment where healing, restoration, and sustainable change can become possible.

In our Houses of Healing, women and girls find a safe space where they can find peace and process their experiences. Through personal support and a supportive environment, they receive the help they need to gain new hope and stability for their future path in life.
Our aim is to not only offer women and girls protection, but to support them holistically on their path back to a self-determined life. We help them to develop new perspectives for their future and to find their place in society again. To this end, we collaborate with various training and support programmes that open up practical skills and new opportunities for women for their future path. Furthermore, they have the opportunity to benefit from our START-UP microcredit project, which helps them to implement their own small business ideas and to become economically independent in the long term.
Through counseling, inner healing, discipleship, and mentoring, we aim to help women experience transformation through the love of the Father, enabling them to make a positive impact on society. In more severe cases, such as trauma, we will seek professional help, including specialized counseling. This approach provides both spiritual and psychological support for lasting change.

In April 2026 we were allowed our new  Healing and Training Centre to inaugurate a house in northern Uganda. The house serves as a safe haven for women in difficult life situations, where they can find support, guidance and the opportunity for healing and a fresh start. At the same time, the house serves as a training centre for inner healing, discipleship, literacy, and business and start-up training, in order to promote people holistically and open up new perspectives for their future.
