A safe place for vulnerable women to regain dignity, identity and hope

In northern Uganda, particularly in the Acholi sub-region, violence and abuse against women and girls are all too common. These abuses—whether physical, emotional, or sexual—are often suffered in silence. Victims may fear retaliation or lack the resources to report the incidents. Even when cases are reported, they often remain unaddressed, leaving women and girls vulnerable and powerless. Our goal is to create a safe environment where these women and girls can find protection, rediscover their dignity and identity, and begin to hope again. In addition, we aim to support them in their journey toward independence by providing emotional healing and pastoral care. This support helps them regain their confidence, empowering them to reintegrate into society and lead self-determined lives.

We want to create a place where women and girls can find protection from further violence and persecution. There they should experience the safety they need to find peace and make a new start.
Our aim is not only to offer the women protection, but also to support them on their path to reintegration into society and to open up new prospects for them. As the project grows, we also want to integrate various external training programmes. In addition, individual women can also benefit from our START-UP project.
Through counseling, inner healing, discipleship, and mentoring, we aim to help women experience transformation through the love of the Father, enabling them to make a positive impact on society. In more severe cases, such as trauma, we will seek professional help, including specialized counseling. This approach provides both spiritual and psychological support for lasting change.
